Rishtey Cineplex

Creative Director David Frearson has been named Gold Winner at this year’s PromaxBDA Awards in Los Angeles in the category of Global Excellence - Total Package Channel Image.

Augusto, in partnership with Frearson were tasked with creating the visual identity for Rishtey Cineplex, India’s first Hindi movie channel launched by Viacom 18.

The win comes amid tough competition with the Silver and Bronze awards going to CNN Worldwide and Sony Pictures Television Networks respectively. The judges recognised the premium feel of Rishtey’s on-air presentation and how well it reflected the quality of the channel’s content offering and the Indian audience’s passion for film.

The channel has been hailed as a commercial success following its launch in September 2016 with audience numbers continuing to grow and advertisers compelled by the engaging and premium feel of the branding.
