How can we help the NSW Blues raise their supporters club fanbase – the blue wig-wearing ‘Blatchy’s Blues’ – in the lead up to the annual State of Origin battle?
Our Story
There’s no bigger rugby rivalry than the Blues and the Maroons, so we fuelled the fire even more by using the opposition’s words against them. Fronted by an unknown Maroons player, we made the Blatchy’s effect feel stronger than ever by hearing what it was like to come up against not just the team, but the fanatical Blatchy’s fans on the sideline – which appeared on TV, social and digital, with disheartening quotes appearing on billboards in and around the stadium.
