Our Challenge:
Coming off the back of Covid-19 lockdowns, as well as an endless city rebuild, the wider Canterbury area was really struggling to attract domestic tourists.
Our Story:
To get people going back to Christchurch, we showed how the city was the gateway to so much more. This was brought to life with a tourism film that took the viewer across the stunning Canterbury region before finishing at the ultimate starting point – the city. The Explore CHC campaign has measurably shifted domestic tourism behaviour and boosted travel sales for the region – increasing the percentage of Kiwis intending to travel to Canterbury to 21% up from 19.4% in the previous three months.
