Samsung wanted to show their support for the team by connecting with the fans back here more than 10,000 kms from the action. We let the nation feel what it’s like to represent your country on the world stage with a VR activation that travelled the country during the Games. Using Samsung’s latest VR technology, we created an immersive 360° experience that puts you right there onboard with Kiwi Olympic sailors, Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, as they competed for gold. This was brought to life through an event activation with product demonstration of the new Samsung Galaxy mobile and Gear 360, fans could also share their experience on social to help Samsung compete for local presence during the Games.
